Five area LS-LAMP campuses (Tulane, Dillard, University of New Orleans, Southern University at New Orleans and Nunez Community College) have been impacted by this catastrophe. These LS-LAMP institutions are host to scores of students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees. The LS-LAMP Statewide Management Office has received numerous offers from other AMP institutions across the United States to assist those students displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

Students, faculty and researchers of the LS-LAMP Institutions are urged to call Dr. Bagayoko at 1.225.205.7482 (anytime) or Ms. McNeely at 1.225.266.6361 to provide current status and obtain information needed for assistance from the AMP institutions. We realize this is a devastating hardship and we want to do everything possible to assist in this time of need. Please share this information with ANY LS-LAMP students. Pertinent information will be posted on the web at www.phys.subr.edu/timbuktu.htm or www.ls-lamp.org
