Presentations

Each registered attendee can present up to two (2) papers, provided that he is a co-author of all of presented papers. There is no limit to the number of papers a presenter can co-author. But a registered attendee can serve as a presenter on two (2) papers only and must also pay $150 for the publication of the second paper if none of the co-authors has registered for it, with additional page charges accruing for papers longer than three pages. The principle here is that one registered attendee can present only one paper for a free publication of three pages in length. Please declare the number of papers to be presented while registering, and pay for all of them. Otherwise, the paper may not be published if a payment of the fee of $150 plus the over-page charge are not received by March 15, 2001. In case that it happens, the conference organizers are not responsible for the occurrence and no refund of registration fee can be requested. An acknowledgment will be issued upon payment. A receipt will be given while registering in Hawaii. Please save it for the future confirmation if needed.

On-site Refereeing of Papers

Much of the manuscript refereeing will take place during the period of the conference, with reviews completed before the conference is over. Each of attendees should pick up his/her refereeing report before leaving for home. Please check the editorial desk on the conference site before your departure. The accepted manuscript with the necessary revisions, if required, can be mailed, after being revised, to the conference secretariat by the deadline. If a paper gets a negative comment, the responsible editor (announced on the conference site) will coordinate between the referee and the author. If it is rejected, a new referee may be selected with the request of the author. If no report is received, the responsible editor will referee it. The author will be notified of the decision by February 20, 2001.. Questions, complaints and comments concerning the refereeing report can be directed to the responsible editor or, if not satisfied, to the conference chairman by e-mail. The conference chairman reserves the right to make a final decision on any paper that is rejected in refereeing.
