for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO), Washington Hilton and
Towers, Washington ,D.C. Five(5) Scholars who made technical presentations
were : Ms. LaShondria Dixon, Ms. Kaiana Franklin, Ms. Deanna Jones, Mr.
Robert Smith, and Mr. Troy D. Williams.

April 9-12, 1996; National Conference of NOBChE, in Detroit, Michigan;
ten (10) Timbuktu Academy Scholars attended.

March 27-31,1996 National Conference of Black Physicists (NSBP)
and National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) conferences, in Nashville,Tennessee.
Dr.Bagayoko and three (3) Scholars attended these conferences. Dr. Bagayoko
made a technical presentation at the NSBP conference oon "3d Impurities
in Aluminum :New Developments."

February 24, 1996; Regional Conference of the National Organization
for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers
(NOBChE)-LSU-Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Fifteen (15) Scholars of the Timbuktu
Academy (chemistry majors) attended and one (Deanna Jones) presented a
poster.

Spring, 1996 - (February 15-17); National Conference of Black Physics
Students (NCBPS), Fisk University, Nashville Tennessee. Twenty six (26)
Scholars (Physics majors) attended this conference and one (R. Smith) made
a technical presentation.

Fall, 1995; Fourth National Diversity Conference, Washington, D.C.,
organized by the National Science Foundation. Five (5) Scholars Of the
Timbuktu Academy attended and each one of them made a technical presentation.

Fall, 1995; Three (3) Scholars attended the American Chemical Society
(ACS) Conference in California.

Spring, 1995; National Organization for Equal (NAFEO) Opportunity
in Higher Education: High Tech Expo, Washington D.C.. Seven (7) Scholars
of the Academy attended and presented technical papers.

Spring, 1995; National Conference of Black Physics Students (NCBPS).
Five (5) scholars attended.

October 28-30, 1994Third National Diversity conference, Washington,
D.C., oganized by the National Science Foundation. Five (5) Scholars of
the Timbuktu Academ attended and each one of them made a technial presentation.

Physicists (NSBP), Newark, New Jersey. Five (5) Scholars attended and two
(2) made technical presentations.

March 20-25, 1994; March Meeting of the American Physical Society
(APS), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Three (3) Scholars Of the Timbuktu Academy
attended and they made two technical poster presentations.

March 22-25, 1994; Regional Conference of the American Society of
Engineering Education/Gulf Southwest Section. Five Academy Scholars attended
this conference and one made a technical presentation.

February 10-13, 1994; National Conference of Black Physics Students
(NCBPS), Atlanta, Georgia. Thirty eight (38) Scholars and students attended
and two (2) made technical presentations.

October 28-30, 1993; Second National Diversity Conference, Washington,
D.C., organized by the National Science Foundation. Five (5) Scholars of
the Timbuktu Academy attended and each one of them made a technical presentation.
