Dr. Guoqiang Li received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Southeast University in 1997. His research
interest is in composite
materials, composite structures, energy storage and transportation, and solid mechanics, including smart materials and structures with
self-sensing, self-actuating, and self-healing capabilities, hybrid grid stiffened composite sandwich structures for impact/blast
mitigation, composite piping systems and pressure vessels for energy storage and transportation, mechanics of materials, fracture
mechanics, damage mechanics, and composites for construction. His work needs the support of large-scale and high fidelity computations.
