CATALOG DESCRIPTION

General Physics (5 hours).  The "Laboratory" and "Problem Solving--Recitation" classes that accompany this lecture are necessary for enrollment in this class.  An introduction to the basic concepts, principles, and models in classical physics intended for science and engineering majors.  Skills in the elementary theoretical methods are developed in this lecture class while studying such topics as mechanics, including waves.  Prerequisite:  MATH-264.
